Taking orders and billing

Take dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders, send KOTs, print the bill and take payment.

Take a dine-in order

  1. Open Place order. Each dining area (AC, garden, takeaway, delivery) has its own tab, and the number on a tab shows how many orders are running there.
  2. Tap a table. A free table shows its seats; a running table shows its bill so far. Type a table name to jump to it, or filter by Free, Running or Occupied.
  3. Add items. Search by name, item code or initials (like "pbm" for Paneer Butter Masala) and press Enter to add the top match, or pick a category and tap items. Press / to jump back to search.
  4. Check the order. Change quantities with + and −, and tap the note icon on an item to tell the kitchen something, like "less spicy". The note prints on the KOT.
  5. Tap Send KOT. The order is saved and the KOT prints in the kitchen. For more items later, open the table again and tap Update & send KOT.

Big group? Tap Merge tables to join several free tables into one order. The ⋯ on a table splits it or marks it occupied or free.

Takeaway and delivery

  1. Open the Takeaway or Delivery tab and tap the tile to start a new order. Every tap starts a fresh one.
  2. Tap Customer and add the name and phone. Delivery orders also need the address. Items this customer ordered before show a count, like 3×.
  3. Add items as for dine-in. Discount applies one of your saved offers, and Order details sets where the order came from, a vehicle number for car-side orders and a note for the KOT.
  4. Tap Send KOT. The order opens on Current orders, where you print the bill, take payment and mark it ready or out for delivery.

Print the bill and take payment

  1. Open the order from Current orders, or it opens by itself right after you send a KOT.
  2. Check the amount under To pay. Add offer applies a saved offer, and Change next to Discount gives a ₹ or % discount. Add a customer at the top to send them an e-bill.
  3. Tap Print bill for the guest. Print KOT prints the kitchen ticket again if the kitchen missed it.
  4. Tap Pay bill. Enter amounts against Cash, Card, Google Pay and the rest, or tap Full on one. A bill can be split across several methods. Then tap Pay now.
  5. Tap Complete order to close it and free the table. If it isn't paid yet, the button reads Settle & complete. Delivery orders use Order delivered.

Split, move and cancel

Under Actions in an open order you can add items, change the table, merge orders, split the bill, update the ETA, send the e-bill or a food-ready message, and cancel the order. Cancelling asks for a reason, and cancelled orders show up in the dashboard's Discounts & leaks so owners can see them.

Reprint or fix a past bill

Open Order history, pick the dates and search by order number, bill number, customer name or phone. In an order, Print bill prints a copy and Share bill sends it by SMS or WhatsApp. Update payment changes how it was paid; under More, Apply tag marks it Complimentary, Test or Erroneous and Void bill cancels it. All three ask for a password.

A business day runs from 5 AM to 5 AM, so a bill at 1 AM counts in the day before.
