This page explains how to delete your account and data in the QRkey apps: QRkey (for guests ordering from restaurants) and QRkey Merchant (the restaurant POS), both published by QRkey, a brand of OrderFly Private Limited. You don't need to keep the app installed to ask.
1. QRkey app (guests)
Your QRkey account is linked to your phone number. To delete it:
- Write to supports@qrkey.in with the subject "Delete my QRkey account", or message us on WhatsApp.
- Tell us the phone number you sign in with. We'll confirm the request with you on that number before deleting anything.
- We delete the account within 30 days and email or message you when it's done.
2. QRkey Merchant app (restaurants)
- A staff login: the outlet owner or manager can remove the user in the POS under Settings > Roles and staff. You can also write to supports@qrkey.in from the email you sign in with.
- The whole outlet account: the account owner writes to supports@qrkey.in from the owner's email with the outlet name. We confirm by email before closing it. You can export your records first, in the POS under Reports.
3. What we delete
- Your sign-in (phone number or email) and profile: name, email and saved addresses.
- Saved preferences, favourites, rewards and offers linked to you.
- For a closed outlet account: staff logins, menu, settings and customer lists, after the 90 days described below.
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Bills and orders: restaurants must keep sales records for GST and accounting, so bills and orders are kept for as long as the law requires (usually 8 years), with your name, phone number and address removed where the law allows.
- Closed outlet accounts: kept for up to 90 days so the owner can export or restore them, then deleted or de-identified, except the records above.
- Crash reports and technical logs: kept for up to 90 days, then deleted.
