Stock, purchases and recipes

See what's running low, receive deliveries, record wastage and link dishes to recipes so stock updates as you sell.

The Stock page

Stock has two parts: Every day holds the daily jobs (receiving goods, moving stock, wastage), and Set up holds stock items, categories, vendors and recipes.

What's running low

Stock and purchases lists every item with what's in stock, the minimum you set, the last price you paid and when that price changed. Tap Below minimum or Out of stock to see what to order.

Receive a delivery

  1. When goods arrive, tap Receive stock.
  2. Pick the vendor and date, then add each item from the bill with its storage, quantity and amount.
  3. Tap Save stock.

Prefer one line at a time? Quick purchase entry takes the vendor, bill number and date, then each item's quantity, unit, amount, CGST and SGST (IGST, cess, VAT and MRP are under Other taxes). You can search an item or scan its barcode. Tap Add to stock after each line.

Move stock and record wastage

Stock by storage shows how much of each item sits in each store room or fridge, and Move stock sends items between them. Update consumption takes out stock that wasn't sold, such as staff meals, wastage, expiry or pilferage: give each line a reason, storage and quantity, then tap Save consumption.

Recipes

A recipe lists the ingredients one dish uses. Search a dish to see its price and ingredient cost, add ingredients with their quantities, and tap Save recipe. From then on, every sale takes the right ingredients off stock.

Base ingredients are for things you make in-house, like gravy or batter. Record a batch and its ingredients come out of stock while the prepared item goes in.

Linking recipes also lets the Sold-out guard AI helper hide dishes on the POS and QR menu when an ingredient runs out, and bring them back after a restock. Working out a dish's cost before you set the price? Try the free food cost calculator.

Prefer a walkthrough? In QRkey, open your account menu → Guides and start “Check stock and enter purchases”. It points at each button on the real screen.
