Settings, staff and outlets

Find your way around Settings, give each person their own login and permissions, and manage several outlets.

Find your way around Settings

Settings lists each set-up page as a card. Type in the search box to find one, for example "printer" or "tax".

• Outlet and billing: your name and address as they print on bills, how the POS works, taxes, extra charges and payment methods.
• Tables and kitchen: dining sections, tables, kitchens and bars, and the printers for bills and KOTs.
• Staff and apps: staff logins and permissions, the diner app for your QR menu, and the companion app when you use the desktop or Android app.

Settings pages are split into sections. Change what you need: a Save button appears on the section you changed, and each section saves on its own.

Add staff

1. Open Staff and tap Add staff.
2. On the Account tab, enter their name and phone, choose how they log in (a user ID or their email) and a password, then pick their role and the sections they work in.
3. On the Permissions tab, turn on what this person needs, or use All for a whole group.
4. Tap Add staff to save.

Roles cover owners, managers, captains and cashiers, and permissions go down to single actions, so a captain can take orders without seeing reports or voiding bills. When someone leaves, set their Status to Archived; you can make them active again later.

Protected actions

Voiding a bill, changing how it was paid, tagging it complimentary and editing the cash book ask for a password, so these actions stay with the people you trust.

Several outlets

Owners with more than one outlet get the owner console: today's sales and orders across every outlet against the same time yesterday, open orders, and which outlets are taking online orders.

• Menu sync shows dishes missing, priced differently or switched off compared with one outlet, and copies them across.
• Price and availability sets one price, or marks a dish sold out, in many outlets at once.
• Aggregators publishes menus to Swiggy and Zomato for many outlets at once, and Compare puts outlets side by side for a period.

Switch between outlets from the outlet name at the top of the POS, with one login.
